K-T Boundary
There is a boundary, a line in the sand.
It’s marked by fossils and the windswept ridge of what used to be a sea floor.
You don’t believe in boundaries; I don’t believe in borders
What was once the bottom is now the top.
This is where, the record shows
Geology took a turn for the present
I can show you in the dark dusty line
Where it all went wrong
Irradiated comets and volcanoes
Fulgurite like that day in New Mexico
And suns and dunes and water
What is it that blocks the light?
Marine regression analysis yields:
Causes of extinction and anomalies of survival
Outliers embedded in igneous rock
Sedimentary personalities.
